More About Me
My primary motivation for the majority of my outdoor pursuits revolves around food. Fishing and crabbing with family in my youth was not just a way to provide food. It was how we learned about the world, how we connected with each other and how we established community with others.
Today my outdoor activities are in the same vein! I fish, hunt, forage, write, paint, and craft, with nature and the environment at the center, to nourish my body and feed my soul. I always endeavor to invite others to participate in the various activities and programs that I find myself doing in the outdoors. I want others to be closer to their food, and to be better able to exercise their food sovereignty. I want folks to feel more independent and be more cognizant of the resources that surround us.
I became a guide to empower others to establish their own unique relationship with the outdoors and to further deepen my own. I want to assist folks in rekindling the spark of nature that our collective ancestors surely had!
